Delivering the Wonder of the Newgrange Winter Solstice with Viatel Connectivity

Viatel Technology Group is delighted to work alongside the Office of Public Works (OPW again this year to deliver the wonder of the winter solstice at Newgrange, enabling streaming across the globe via high-speed connectivity. For 5,000 years winter sunlight has illuminated Newgrange, one of Ireland’s most famous landmarks. In order to spread the wonder, the Office of Public Works (OPW) decided to beam the solstice from the Boyne Valley around the globe. Viatel engineers created the necessary connection: twenty-first-century technology broadcasting Stone Age engineering. As well as almost 4,000 business and corporate customers, Viatel is also proud to partner with the OPW and many more of Ireland’s public sector bodies including the Departments of Education and Skills and of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the State Examinations Commission. The company even provides connectivity to no less a residence than Áras an Uachtaráin.

Multiple Solutions, One Provider- St. Francis Credit Union & their Digital Services Journey

St. Francis Credit Union sought a Digital Services partner to manage their technology stack. They selected Viatel, an Irish company, for their expertise and understanding of the credit union sector.
