Progressive Credit Union- Slashing Energy Costs across Seven Sites

Progressive Credit Union- Slashing Energy Costs across Seven Sites

-

Energy costs had become a significant financial burden for Progressive Credit Union Limited, with rising prices putting pressure on budgets and overall stability. To address this, we implemented a targeted strategy to reduce energy spend without affecting operational efficiency. We began by assigning a dedicated account manager to assess the Credit Union’s utility usage and existing contracts. A thorough cost analysis was then carried out, comparing energy rates from multiple suppliers to identify more competitive options. In addition, we reviewed current contracts to ensure a smooth transition and alignment with a cost-saving strategy. This structured approach delivered strong results. By renegotiating contracts and switching to more cost-effective suppliers, Progressive Credit Union achieved a 20% reduction in energy costs. These savings were realised without any disruption to daily operations, while ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the best available market options.

Oliver Dunne Restaurants- Reduced Energy Costs over Eight Sites

-

Energy costs were a major part of the Oliver Dunne Restaurant Group’s utility spend, and rising prices were putting pressure on profitability. To address this, we assigned a dedicated account manager and applied our three-step approach. First, we reviewed and analysed their current energy usage, contracts, and rates across all eight locations to identify inefficiencies and areas of overspending. Next, we carried out a comparative analysis of energy suppliers, using market insights to find more cost-effective options tailored to each site’s needs. Finally, we facilitated peer-to-peer discussions with other hospitality clients, sharing best practices to improve energy efficiency. As a result, the Group reduced its energy costs by 28% through renegotiated contracts and better supplier selection, all without disrupting daily operations.

We identified that installing solar panels would generate additional energy and result in further annual savings by not relying on the grid  We conducted an energy audit to identify opportunities for further savings such as an LED retrofit  Results  Our expertise resulted in 6-figure savings annually across the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel Group by switching to a tracker rate and using a multi-pronged approach that included sustainable energy solutions, such as installing solar panels.
